| Solution: | An energy recovery ventilator (ERV) was installed using the dPoint polymer membrane ERV core to provide fresh air into the building while recapturing the energy lost through the ventilation system. | |
| Results: | An improvement in indoor air quality and an increase of 40-50% efficiency compared to typical cottages, due in part to the high recovery efficiency of lost heat in the winter and cooled air in the summer. The ERV provided the additional benefit of maintaining the cottages at the appropriate humidity levels. |
